Hello and welcome to my weblog!

My name is Luis and I am the Tasty Pilgrim. This year I shall be walking El Camino de Santiago again.

When you read the blogs and stories and books by other pilgrims, you will notice that they all walk with blinkers on. They keep their eyes to the ground and are not open to all the fascinating things surrounding the Camino.

I always do things differently, so my Camino will come as a surprise to you. The starting point is historical linguistics. The oldest manuscript on the Camino dates back to the 12th century, the Liber Sancti Jacobi. A monk travels the Way of St James that runs from Paris via Orleans to the Pyrenees and then along the Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostella. He comments on the hospitality and the food and the accomodation and the strange customs of the people he encounters. It inspired me to create my weblog THE TASTY PILGRIM.
